I’ve been researching how well Leo and Sagittarius star signs get along, dating wise. It’s a journey I’ve invested time in, as I’m interested in how zodiac signs determine romantic outcomes. I’ve learnt that Leo and Sagittarius are both fire signs, and that they can share a truly warm love for each other – but it’s not without it’s challenges. When they first meet, Leo and Sagittarius partners really need to build up each other’s self-esteem, especially if they have been in demanding or disrespectful relationships prior to theirs. It’s important to do this, to clear old feelings and trust issues. Both fire signs are hyper-sensitive, and need to be aware of each others needs. Both fire signs can be loud and communicate a lot – both have STRONG personalities.  Sometimes this can make them a bit rough on each other, and on themselves. This can be self-damaging to the relationship.

Leo and Sagittarius lovers are both very passionate and open in their emotions. They will want to show their love, share their love and act on their impulses as much as they can. Some balance would come in handy, especially if they often fight. Fighting is a strange way to show your love, but is sometimes necessary to ensure each partner understands the other. Conflicts can be aggressive – because two fires can build an even larger fire. I’ve experienced this first hand – and the burning can be severe.

Sexually, the two fire signs feel liberated with each other – once those older trust issues are dealt with. The Leo brings inner fire to the act of sex, whilst Sagittarius fires up the expansion, the places, positions and and horizons. When committed to each other, they will enjoy each other in a truly fiery way, and they will respect each others minds, bodies, and personalities.

Leo does like to be the centre of attention and feel attractive and desirable, but this is something a Sagittarius partner can provide in abundance. There is usually no reason for them to lose trust over time, except when their emotions start to fade. This is true except where there are trust issues from the past that haven’t been dealt to fully. Until those trust issues are dealt with, there can be no true love. And with Sagittarius being a mutable star sign, they can fall in and out of love quickly and frequently. Dating a Leo that magnetically attracts others, when singing for example, can make the Sagittarius feel in the background, unsure, or even unloved – they can even accuse the Leo of “showing off” or “needing lots of people”. These sorts of comments can be hurtful to the Leo who’s just being himself.

Leo and Sagittarius are both very focused on their mental activity. Leo, ruled by the sun, has a good rational awareness. Sagittarius are philosophical and wide opinionated, but have exacting standards higher than the Earth that their partners may never be able to live up to. Communication can be difficult between them – but a Leo can help the Sagittarius when they get lost, and the Sagittarius is very good for giving a Leo vision and the ability to understand their future together. When there is a solid footing in the relationship, and with trust issues expulsed, there can be an incredible and intimate bond between Leo and Sagittarius partners.

When things are going well, the Leo and Sagittarius love feels like the warmest most cuddly love on the planet. You might even call people in this relationship “cuddle buddies”. I’ve learnt that there are times to just slow down, stay at home, talk about nothing at all, and just be quiet. These need to be balanced with times going out and having wild parties.

Leo and Sagittarius partners will certainly value each others strong characters and incredible personalities, and their ability to warm each other up in every way possible. Leos find it hard to explain to Sagittarius partners why they like opulent venues, grand stages, and travel to distant lands. The Sagittarius doesn’t seem to understand why the Leo wants to go to fancy places, or to community clubs to confront all of the people it’s easier to run from, or to perform for so many people when there are bigger issues in the world – like starving children in Africa. Sagittarius females especially don’t feel they need to spend their time on “tiresome people” or those people that they see “using” their partner – even if their Leo partner is ok with it.

From my experience to date, I’m finding that Leo and Sagittarius are a very good fiery combination of signs, and that when these two Sun signs come together its easy to fall in love. This love is warm, passionate, and inspiring, and when things are going well its AMAZING. But I can also understand how the Sagittarius partner might lose interest in their Leo, because they tend to get pushed away by Leo’s static, fixed nature.

A love like this is worth fighting for, despite the occasional speed humps. To keep everything in check, both signs need to listen to their softer emotions and remain tender and sensitive for one another. Judgement of other sign will bring conflict, fire, and fighting. Sensitivity will win the day.
