The thing I want to talk most about today is the popular dating app, Tinder. Tinder is an adult-finding online app, full of photos and profiles. Because you can see the photos of each person, you can choose visually what you like. There’s a whole lot of different people on Tinder, and not all of them are great. Some are weird, some are crazy, but there are also real and sane people using the app too.

Whether you want to find a girl, a boy, or both, for a friendship or full on relationship – or even something casual, you can easily sort the photos using a swipe of the screen: Swipe right for the people you love, and swipe left for those that don’t appeal to you (and you’ll never see them again).

Each free account gets a maximum number of matches per day, whilst paid accounts are pretty much unlimited. If you swipe right on someone and the other person does the same for you, you’ll match. You’ll then be able to chat and go from there. (Note: guys, if you’re not sexy and hung like a donkey then you may as well swipe right on all of the girls you see to improve your chances of a match. Thanks Dating Dave! Lol).

Queue the acting now! You’ve developed a foreign sexy accent? That’s great. Now you can try cheesy pickup lines: “Are you from Tennessee, because you’re the only ten I see!” How about “I know you’re the one and I want to marry you. You may be far away, but I’m sure we can find our way through things and then one day we’ll find each other.” Ouch, terrible!

These are the kind of people you need to watch. “How was Sydney in 2010?”… “How do you know I was there at that time?”… “Well, I know all about you because I stalked you on Facebook.”. That’s seriously scary… but it does happen. So don’t reveal too many details about yourself on ANY publicly accessible social profiles, or use your real full name on Tinder. Sometimes a little mystery is actually a good thing.
