Swiping on Bumble Experiment

The world of online dating can be a tricky one to navigate. With so many apps and platforms to choose from, it can be hard to know which one is right for you. Bumble is one of the most popular dating apps out there, and for good reason. It’s user-friendly interface and unique features make it stand out from the rest. One of the most notable features of Bumble is that women have to message first. This eliminates the pressure of men having to initiate the conversation and can lead to more meaningful interactions. Saying that, some dating coaches tell women not to use Bumble because it stops men acting with intent.

There’s a “game” you can play on Bumble – and some other dating apps – called “lowering your standards”. The idea is for a guy to experiment with swiping right on every single female profile, regardless of how attractive or interesting the girls may appear. This can be a fun and interesting way to explore the dating world and see what kind of matches you can get. While it may be fun to experiment, it’s ultimately not a healthy way to approach dating. Instead, you should be honest with yourself about what you want in a partner, and you definitely should not settle for less, IMHO.

So let’s get a member of our dating team to put this theory to the test on Bumble. With a paid profile, their goal was to swipe right on at least 100 women, and see how many matches they got. Starting their swiping right on the Bumble home screen, they quickly began to rack up matches. The messages from these matched women were coming in fast and furious.

Some of the matches received were from women who had already liked him. This is a feature unique to Bumble, where you can see the profiles of people who have already liked you. This can be a great way to save time and effort, as you don’t have to spend hours swiping through profiles to find a match.

As he continued to swipe right on more and more profiles, he quickly reached the goal of 100 matches. Yes, that’s not 100 swipes, that’s 100 real matches – with real people at both ends. At this level the amount of messages flowing was getting a bit overwhelming. The beauty of Bumble (for guys) is that the women have to message first, and they only have 24 hours to do so. This means that if they don’t message you within 24 hours, the match expires. You don’t have to spend hours sifting through messages from people who aren’t interested in you. If a girl messages you on Bumble, she’s interested in initiating a conversation with you, and maybe much more.

So did it work? Well, if the aim of the exercise was to match up with 100 women who potentially like you, then yes it worked extremely well. This experiment was a fun and interesting way to explore the world of online dating. It’s a reminder that we should be open to new experiences and not be too quick to dismiss someone based on their appearance or interests.

But… there are real people involved here. I wouldn’t recommend lowering your standards when it comes to dating. It’s important to be realistic and have a good sense of self-worth. Why spend hours in endless chat loops with people that you have no real wish to meet up with and pursue? And the kind hearted guy that I am also says that this is very cruel to the ladies on the other end. Giving women who may not be the most attractive false hope of finding love with you is nothing more than gaming at their expense.

So, it’s fine to experiment but do be aware of the possible cautions here. Keep Bumbling. Happy swiping!
